On Saturday, 21 February, eight members took part in the Rowing Ireland Level One Coaching Course. Coaches from Killorglin, UCC, Lee, Skibbereen and Kilmacsimon successfully completed the programme and achieved their Level One coaching qualification.

Participants developed the knowledge and practical skills required to confidently deliver safe and effective sessions for Junior athletes, as well as novice to intermediate adult rowers.

The course included both in-person training days and an online module, covering a broad range of topics such as coach and athlete development, communication and session planning, technique and video analysis, coaching best practice, nutrition and hydration, safety, strength and conditioning, and on-water coaching practice.

Congratulations to all coaches on this fantastic achievement.
