Rowing Ireland will host an Advanced Strength & Conditioning Workshop on Saturday, 30 and Sunday, 31 May at the National Rowing Centre, delivered by Luke Smyth.
This two-day practical workshop is designed for coaches who want to build on their existing knowledge of strength and conditioning and strengthen how they support athlete development within a rowing environment. The workshop forms part of the Level Two Coaching Course, but it is also open as a stand-alone workshop.
The workshop is suitable for rowing coaches who already have a basic understanding of strength and conditioning and are looking to develop that knowledge further in a practical coaching setting. It will be particularly relevant for coaches who have completed Level One S&C content, coaches progressing through the Level Two pathway, and coaches working with coastal and beach sprint athletes, where strength, power, and movement quality are especially important.
Places are limited to 16 participants to ensure coaches receive the maximum benefit from the weekend. Depending on demand, the number of places available per club may be restricted.
Clubs are encouraged to share this opportunity with their coaches.
