The Coupe de la Jeunesse Beach Sprint provides an invaluable opportunity for developing coastal rowers to gain international experience in the growing Beach Sprint discipline, which will make its Olympic debut at Los Angeles 2028.

Rowing Ireland High Performance Director Niall O’Carroll commented:

The Coupe Beach Sprint offers an excellent platform for our next generation of coastal athletes to test themselves against Europe’s best. The enthusiasm, teamwork, and skill shown by these young crews are a real credit to their clubs and coaches. This experience will play an important part in Ireland’s continued growth and success in coastal rowing.”

Rowing Ireland extends its best wishes to all athletes and staff travelling to Spain and looks forward to following their performances over the weekend.
