Rowing Ireland is proud to announce Egis as an official partner.
Egis has been operating in Ireland since 1994 and last year acquired the award-winning engineering practice of J. B. Barry and Partners. This expands its Irish activities to include the design and operation of transportation systems (including roads, light and heavy rail, bus and active travel), water, environmental protection, and energy infrastructure, buildings and structures. Egis also operates over 470km of motorway, including three tunnels: Dublin Port, Jack Lynch, and Limerick.
Steve Preece, CEO of Egis Ireland said “By supporting Rowing Ireland, we can further our commitment to voluntarism, social impact, and building better communities. Together, we can espouse the spirit of teamwork, aligning with our ethos of collaboration and partnerships to promote health, well-being, and increased participation in sport. Egis wishes our domestic athletes and international squad the best of luck in their end of season regattas, championships and at the Paris Olympics over this summer. ”
Egis engineering arm (J. B. Barry and Partners) has long since supported sport including rowing: Eugene Coakley, rowing Olympian, worked with us, as have many interns and graduates. Today, Paul Flood, Captain of UCD, and Martin Hogan, Chair of Rowing Ireland, are also colleagues.
It is intended that the partnership and support from Egis will allow Rowing Ireland further to develop the sport at both domestic and international level.
