Rowing Ireland wishes to recognise the great work carried out by the Limerick Training Centre, under the stewardship of James Mangan, since 2018 in developing and providing support to young rowers at University of Limerick, Castleconnell Boat Club and onto Rowing Ireland. That work included the provision of boats to athletes for national squad duty, whenever they were sought from the Limerick Training Centre.
As James prepares to move onto new challenges, the Limerick Training Centre wishes to make boats available to Rowing Ireland on an exclusive and permanent basis. Rowing Ireland is very grateful for this kind gesture.
The boats will be operated from the National Rowing Centre, with the intention of supporting Junior, Under-23 , and Senior development crews. Rowing Ireland wishes to thank James, and the Limerick Training Centre, for their tremendous work over the years. Rowing Ireland wishes James every good fortune with his new endeavours.
