The Rowing Ireland Schools Regatta 2026 , hosted as part of the Limerick Regatta, took place on Sunday, 26th April at O’Brien’s Bridge, Co. Clare. This year, the regatta committee limited entries (for boats larger than sculls) to just one crew per school. This led to some exciting racing, as athletes who had competed against each other on Saturday in the Waterways League found themselves racing side by side under their school colours.

A total of 77 schools took part in this year’s events, with the largest entry in the Women’s J16 1x. With clear skies and calm winds, it proved to be an excellent day of racing. Enniskillen Royal Boat Club were crowned Overall Winners of the Schools Regatta in 2026, finishing on 49 points. Methodist College Belfast Boat Club placed a close second with 41 points, while Gaelcholáiste Luimnigh secured third place with 21 points.

Congratulations to all of the rowers, coaches, and supporters. Well done to Limerick Regatta for a great day of racing.
