Due to the uncertainty about holding in-person exams this year, and with the large number of renewals that were extended until the end of 2021 last year, it has been decided to hold two online exams for renewals in January this year.
The suggested format is as follows:
- One hour seminar via Zoom starting at 7.00pm on Wednesday 19th January (Leinster & Ulster) & Wednesday 26th January (Munster & Connaught)
- All umpires register with an email before the exam at umpires@rowingireland.ie, closing date Wednesday 12th January
- The seminar lasts one hour, at 7.45pm we email the exam questions and an answer sheet, which is part of the exam paper, that we need to have emailed back to us by 10.00pm that night.
Any new candidates wishing to do Umpire Exams this year will have to register before the end of January at umpires@rowingireland.ie
Once we know our numbers, we can set up exam venues when conditions allow.
