Last Saturday, 9th of April, we saw 127 crews from universities all throughout Ireland racing in Lough Rinn for the University Championships. These universities include UCD, UL, UCC, TCD, Queens University, NUIG, MTU, RCSI, and TUS.
We got lucky with the weather as the sun was shining for the day. This made the event even more spectacular for the rowers and spectators. Well done to the University Committee for doing a great job organising such a successful event.
A big thank you also to Sligo Rowing Club, Carrick Rowing Club, Enniskillen Royal Boat Club, Charlene from Leitrim Sports Partnership, Ciaran from Lough Rynn Castle and the friendliest local Gardaí for their help too to make the day happen.
