Ongoing shortages, travel restrictions and impending lockdowns makes it easy to see that hosting a physical IIRC in 2021 would not be feasible or wise, so we will remain in the virtual world for now with V-IIRC 2021 – the Virtual Irish Indoor Rowing Championships.
Getting registered couldn’t be easier (REGISTER) and the IT skills required are minimal – just follow the steps provided on www.rowfit.ie/VIRC
We are still committed to running the V-IIRC as the timely and exciting event you have come to know. We worked out the ‘how to’ via the ROWfit Indoor Rowing Race Series in Oct/Nov 2020. So, time to grab an erg and bucket. The V-IIRC will be viewable LIVE online with commentary (and a delay) on You Tube to both competitors and spectators alike and on Time-Team’s tracker web page application (instantaneous but without commentary)
Virtual racing might be the ultimate in social distancing, but our experienced commentators and MC’s will hopefully bring the races to life for all our viewing pleasure. Competitors have to supply their own buckets though – we haven’t quite cracked virtual cleanups yet
All events are open status, requiring no pre-qualification times or club affiliation.
