Entries are now in for the 2026 1K Classic.

940 crews will take to the water which in Lough Rinn on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June.

With a large volume of entries received, racing will be conducted across eight lanes, in some categories, ensuring an exciting and efficient weekend of competition.

To help deliver a successful event, we are seeking volunteers in a number of key roles:

Stakeboat Personnel

Duties: Assist crews at the start line by holding boats steady and helping ensure races begin safely and fairly.

Launch Drivers

Duties: The crews are ready but they can’t hit the water until our team of launch drivers are in place. To ensure safety, fair racing and marshalling we need experienced launch drivers who are happy to put themselves into this high-octane racing environment:

Shifts: There are Sunday morning and afternoon shifts available.

Umpires

Help ensure fair racing and smooth event delivery. Opportunities are available for both experienced umpires and those looking to gain more on the water umpiring experience.

Shifts: The are both Saturday and Sunday, morning and afternoon shifts available.
