Rowing Championships – Fri 12th, Sat 13th and Sun 14th July (National Rowing Centre)

The Irish Rowing Championships are the highlight of the domestic rowing season. These events, which are both volunteer-led and volunteer delivered, require a large number of volunteers to deliver the high-quality event that our athletes deserve. This year in particular we require additional help from our clubs.

To assist in the running of the event we are looking to recruit a number of volunteers. The details of the positions are set out below. Please consider supporting Rowing Ireland by volunteering.

Launch Drivers:

The crews are ready for Champs but they can’t hit the water until our team of launch drivers are in place to ensure safety, fair racing and marshalling. There will be morning and afternoon shifts available

Please contact  champs-vm@rowingireland.ie if you are interested in this role.

This is an unpaid volunteer position but each volunteer will be provided with meals throughout the event and will also receive a souvenir polo-shirt.

Umpires:

If you are an experienced umpire or a newly qualified umpire there is a role for you. Please outline your availability through the link form below (selecting morning and / or afternoon availability.)

If you are available at certain times please include this in the comments box at the end.

All umpires will receive;

  • Refunded / free parking for the Coillte Car Park
  • Lunch and refreshments
  • An event polo shirt
    Umpires available on 12th, 13th and 14th July will be offered accommodation locally.

If your circumstances change and you are no longer available to umpire please email Andrew Tubman at umpires@rowingireland.ie as soon as possible.
