The 2024 Irish Rowing Championships are almost upon us, and with 916 crews preparing to compete, this year’s event promises to be a spectacular showcase of rowing talent. The event will be available on live stream again this year, allowing fans to follow the thrilling races in real-time. The Live Stream and Results Link will be made available on Friday morning through our social media channels.

Drinking Water Refill Station:
A special thanks to Cork County Council for supplying drinking water refill stations. This initiative is a valuable asset to rowers, coaches, volunteers, and spectators, supporting our efforts to reduce single-use plastic waste and promoting sustainability throughout the event.

On-Site Vendors:
We are delighted to have a variety of vendors on-site over the weekend, including a Burger Booth, Weir Dough Pizza, The Boathouse Buoy Coffee Cart and Sunny Ices Ice Cream. The NRC Canteen will be open to the public each day also. While the majority of vendors will accept card payments, it is always advisable to bring cash as well.

Green Blades Merchandise Shop:
The Green Blades Championships shop is always worth a visit for all your merchandise needs. From classic Champs and 1k T-shirts and hoodies to exciting new items like Dry Robes and Croc Jibbitz, there’s something for everyone. The shop is open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, accepting both card and cash payments. The merchandise shop will be closed from 1-2pm for lunch.

Security and Trailer Arrangements:
Security will be in place at the National Rowing Centre (NRC) from 12:00 on Thursday until 18:00 on Sunday. Trailers are requested to arrive after 12:00 on Thursday. The regatta committee may allow earlier access to trailers under certain circumstances, provided this is agreed upon in advance.

For trailers arriving on Friday morning, please ensure they are in place by 08:00 as the area from the NRC to the trailer parking area will be closed to vehicular access to ensure pedestrian safety. Late arrivals may be directed to the Coillte car park.

Traffic and Parking:
On each day of the event, no vehicle traffic will be allowed down to the NRC 30 minutes before the first race, and vehicles must be parked in the car park. Traffic will be allowed to move again 30 minutes after the last race each day. There is limited space for disabled badge holders. Please email championships@rowingireland.ie to reserve a space.
