Castleconnell Regatta

What an amazing event held at Castleconnell Boat club this weekend. With racing from early morning to evening, all the rowers were busy sprinting along the 500m course throughout the day.

With 612 crews entered, it was a day of straight finals with no time for heats. A total of 30 Muckross crews enjoyed a top three finish, with the club recording eleven wins, twelve second place and seven third place finishes.

Huge well done to Castleconnel for hosting such a brilliant event. Thanks to all the volunteers and people who made the day possible. Also, a big thank you to Tipperary Search & Rescue for providing support for the event.

Trinity Regatta

With 256 crews participating in the Trinity regatta last weekend it was the largest one in recent memory. Blessed with the weather, the crews were out racing with high spirits for the day. We were delighted to see its return after Covid-19.

A lunch was attended by the Provost with the President of the Women’s boat club and men’s boat club as well as the Ambassador from the United Kingdom and Netherlands and Head of Trinity Sport Michelle Tanner.

A big thank you to Trinity regatta committee chaired by Martin Hogan for organising such a great event and a big thank you to all those involved to make the day possible.
