Results from day 1 of racing

Loads of drama from day 1 of the World Rowing Beach Sprints. Here is a quick summary of the days results

The CMiX4 of Rhiannan, Monika, Kealan, Ronan and David had a timetrial at 10.03 then went into a knockout against Croatia at 16.22. They won their knockout and are now in the quarter finals against New Zealand at 16.00 tomorrow. (catch Worlds Rowing’s video of David Hussey on our instagram page)

The CMiX2 of Noel and Karen came through 2 timetrials and now have a knockout last 16 against New Zealand at 9.10am tomorrow.

Kealan in the CMX1 had his first timetrial today at 12.20 and will have a 2nd timetrial tomorrow at 11.40am.

Monika in the CWX1 came 5th in her time-trial today at 13.02 , she is now into the last 16 knockout on Sunday at 11.00am.

Eoin in the CJMX1 Won his 2nd time-trial today but unfortunately was eliminated in the last 16 knockout by France today after a great race.

Aoibhe won her CJWX1 2nd time-trial but was also eliminated in the last 16 knockout by Sweden after another fantastic race.

The CJMX2 of Colm and Eoin came 5th in the time-trial today and are now into the last 16 knockout v Japan at 10.10am tomorrow.

The CJWX2 of Grace and Meabh came 10th in the time-trial today, they row against Germany at 11.05am tomorrow in the repechage.

The CJMiX2 of Luke and Kate came 10th in the time-trial today, they face Belgium in the knockout last 16 at 9am on Sunday.
