Rowing Ireland, in collaboration with Move2B as well as NGB partners Triathlon Ireland, Athletics Ireland, Cycling Ireland, and Swim Ireland are delighted to once again be able to offer this exciting leadership programme to empower young female athletes aged 16-21.

Duration

This is a six-week programme that will run from mid-September to October 2026.

The requirements are that you will attend a weekly online 1 hour 30 minute workshop as well as an in-person day in Dublin during the course. 

Objectives

The objectives of the Move2B Leadership Programme are as follows:

Develop your leadership experience:

Focusing on sound judgement, interpersonal and organisational skills that contribute to the overall success of an event, organisation or team.

Expand your insight, vision and strategic thinking:

Developing the ability to identify and articulate challenges within sport, and develop ideas and strategies to overcome them.

Foster motivation and inspiration:

Expanding intrinsic motivation to achieve the best not only for themselves but for their teammates and club, fostering a positive and supportive environment.

Improve communication:

Growing the skills to effectively communicate ideas, instructions and feedback to peers, teammates, club members and coaches.

Move2B Programme 2026

Programme content

The programme will focus on practical takeaways and real-life examples. This course is for athletes of levels with an interest in leadership and we encourage all those who think they might be interested to apply. A list of modules with dates and times as well as the application form can be found below.

  • Module 1: Navigating Hidden Hurdles September 16th @ 7.30 – 9.00pm
  • Module 2: Female Physiology September 23rd @ 7.30 – 9.00pm
  • Module 3: You Can Do Hard Things September 30th @ 7.30 – 9.00pm
  • Module 4: Developing Your Voice October 7th @ 7.30 – 9.00pm
  • Module 5: The Pillars of Health October 14th @ 7.30 – 9.00pm
  • Module 6: Conscious Behaviour Change October 21st @ 7.30 – 9.00pm
  • In Person Day : October 3rd 2026

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?

This course is for athletes of all levels with an interest in leadership. We encourage all those who might be interested to apply.

Please note, there are seven places available on this course and applications received will be evaluated.
