The Irish indoor rowing championships was back in full swing at University of Limerick Sports Arena on Saturday 4th February. Participants from all corners of the country gathered at this prestigious indoor event that returned to full capacity in person at the packed arena on Saturday.
Andrew O’Leary of Presentation School, Cork won the Men’s Junior 18 event in a time of 6:11.5 with Liam Walter of Castleconnell B.C. coming in a close second. It was a close call in the Women’s U23 event with less than .8 of a second between Caoimhe O’Sullivan of ULRC and Anna Keating of Shannon Rowing Club.
The event was hosted by Joe Cantillon, and catered for ages 12 to 80. There was a selection of races from relay races to 500m to 2000m available for all abilities. A full list of results can be found here:
