This week, our acting COO, Pat Kiely, extended a warm welcome to the New Zealand Ambassador to Ireland, Trevor Mallard, as he visited the National Rowing Center.
This visit served as a celebration of the similarities in sporting culture between Ireland and New Zealand, our shared commitment to rowing, a sport in which both nations excel, consistently ranking amongst the top nations in the world.
The Ambassador’s visit was marked by a tour of the National Rowing Centre’s facilities, guided by our President Neville Maxwell and High Performance Director Antonio Maurogiovanni. The Ambassador also met with the high performance athletes and wished them well for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
