Due to the pandemic and lack of rowing events over the last year, visibility of any rowing within the national media has been a challenge. The sport had moments, with the success of the teams at the Junior, U23 and Senior Europeans and our Senior Women’s Rowing team (aka the Big Strong Girls) continue to fly the flag for Women in Rowing.
Yet there is a need to recognise and promote the women in our sport who don’t always take the limelight. Over the last year, our clubs and organisation have made a big effort to showcase the women of our sport, and today we revisit some of those initiatives.
