It’s that time of the year again to ask for your support with the upcoming 1K Classic and Irish Rowing Championships.
This year the 1k Classic will take place on Saturday 1st July (NRC) and the Irish Rowing Championships will take place from Friday 14th – Sunday 16th July (NRC)
If you are new to umpiring, or have years of experience there is a role for you at these events. We appreciate it is a huge commitment for all of you, but also know that these events simply do not happen without your continued and loyal support to clubs and Rowing Ireland.

Once entries close we will create a roster and this will be emailed to umpires.
If you are available at certain times please include this in the comments box at the end. If there is a specific duty that you enjoy please include this in the comments section and we will try to accommodate.
All umpires will receive;
– Reimbursed parking charges for Coillte Car Park
-Lunch and refreshments throughout the day
– An event polo shirt
– Umpires available on 14th, 15th and 16th July will be offered accommodation at UCC in Cork. [if you are not local to Cork]
If your circumstances change and you are no longer available to umpire please let us know by emailing umpires@rowingireland.ie as soon as possible.
We are also looking for launch drivers for the following shifts at the 1K Classic on July 1st:
- 08:15am to 12:20pm
- 13:00pm to 17:00pm
